This gorgeous couple near our house on the canal brought along a picnic basket at sunset. They sat down at the end of the jetty and danggled there legs in the water while they got wine glasses out and enjoyed the evening. They were laughing and chatting away. I thought what a perfect simple date  out enjoying each others company while watching the sunset.

Soul Space for your man

Guys need guy time doing what they love just like we need girl time getting nails done e.t.c & having our soul space. If your Guy is totally into sport find out when his favourite sport game is on tv, a final is best. Hook up his mates to come over & watch the game too. Stock up on some drinks and make up some snacks chips, dips, biscuits, m&m's e.t.c - Homemade always scores more brownie points!. By organising this and suprising him you will really knock his socks off & most guys wouldn't expect their lady to organise this. Make sure once the game has started you leave & go do something fun with the girls.

HOT TIP #4

ENJOY THIS HOT TIP FROM ONE OF MY BLOG READERS ♥
If your man enjoys reading, write a little note to him titled: '10 reasons why I LOVE YOU!' and slip it somewhere in the book he is reading.... Chances are, he wont find it for days... sometimes weeks- so it will really be a big suprise for him, when he finally turns to that page and finds it. Of course, if you can think of more than 10 reasons why you LOVE your man, then fill the page! :-)

Check out this awesome idea - So romantic

I just love this awesome idea from one of my blog readers. You have a suprise Valentines day but it's not actually on Valentines day it's a date in the year you pick!

"Suprise Valentines Day" This way it is something that you have had to work on yourself and it is not just because it is Feb 14! What you both do is randomly choose a day during the year that is going to be your significant others "Valentines Day" BUT.. don't tell them the date!

For My Husbands day this year I finished work early, went and got rose petals, candles and chocolates.. I made a trail from the bottom of our drive with candels all the way up to the door and into the house.. once in side I put petals choc and candels all the way to our bathroom.. when he arrived to the bathroom I had a bubble bath all ready to climb into and me in some sexy underwear with nibbles and wine ready!

I had the whole night planned .. I made our room up for giving my husband a massage after the bath, after the massage we trotted down stairs to the lounge where I had made a picnic in the lounge on the floor..

I had made all of his favourite foods and had bought all his favourite treats.

I had rented a DVD of my husbands favourite music artist and had it playing on the TV as if we were at their concert live... but rugged up in fluffy white bathrobes!

Was an awesome night.. and the best part.. he didn't even know it was going to happen!

HOT TIP #3 THE SMELL OF BAKING

I love to always have the house sparkly clean & something baking for the moment Aaron arrives home from work as he loves this ( remember they may not tell you they appreciate or love it, but they really do love it). Mum always taught me this when your partner gets home have something baking so the smell fills the whole house - a way to a mans heart is through his stomach.

It's always worked for me as Aaron will go "BABE WOW THAT SMELLS AMAZING!" as soon as he walks in the front door with a smile on his face.

Start by choosing a menu of delicous romantic italian food.
This could involve Pasta, garlic bread, bottle wine and a italian dessert. You can get heaps of fabulous recipes at taste.com.au

HOT TIP #2 A BIG YUMMY BREAKFAST

BREAKFAST IN BED
Everyone loves breakfast in bed!!! Wake up early sneak out and cook up a storm in the kitchen & suprise your partner with a delicous breakfast in bed. Men if your doing it for your lady pop some flowers or a single rose on the breakfast tray to add something special that she will love.

Here our some awesome recipes
Big Breakfast:

bacon
eggs
hashbrowns
sausages
mushrooms
tomato

juice/coffee
smoothie

Eggs Benedict:
This recipe is fromy my favourite food website Taste.com.au

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 8 rashers bacon, trimmed
  • 8 thick slices sourdough bread, toasted
  • 8 poached eggs
  • Tarragon leaves, to serve
  • 3 egg yolks, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 tbs lemon juice
  • 200g unsalted butter, cubed, at room temperature

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 100C. Line an oven tray with foil. Heat oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add half the bacon and cook for 5-6 minutes, turning once, or until golden and crisp. Transfer to lined tray. Repeat with remaining bacon. Place into oven to keep warm.
  2. For sauce, whisk yolks and lemon juice together in a small heatproof bowl. Place bowl over a saucepan of barely simmering water (make sure bowl doesn't touch water). Add 1 piece of butter. Whisk until melted. Continue adding butter, 1 piece at a time, whisking after each addition, until sauce starts to thicken. Once this happens you can add 3-4 pieces at a time, continuing until all butter has been added. If bowl gets too hot remove from heat and continue adding butter, then return to pan. If sauce is too thick, add a little hot water. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  3. Place toast on plates. Top with bacon and poached eggs. Spoon over hollandaise sauce and sprinkle with tarragon. Season to taste. Serve.

Notes & tips

  • Cook's tip: For something different, try replacing the bacon with slices of smoked salmon and the tarragon with dill. Wilt baby spinach leaves in a little butter in a frying pan over low heat, then serve alongside eggs Benedict.

Christmas in July with my hottie

My hubby absolutely loves presents, It is one of his main love languages.

(To find out your partners love language check this book out - The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman. I read this & loved it. Make sure if you read it your partner reads it too)

So I decided to do a Christmas in july suprise.
I pulled out the christmas tree put it in our bedroom & decorated it. I filled the room with candles & christmas decor too. Then I went shopping and bought and wrapped all kinds of fabulous pressies to spoil him. I cooked a gorgeous chrissy dinner just to top it off.
So before he got home I lit the candles, put christmas music on and took him into our room where he was so suprised. His face lit up like a little kid on christmas morning seeing all the presents.
It doesn't take much to do this as most people already have tonnes of christmas decor and for dinner pop on his/hers favourite roast & make a scrumptious dessert.
Christmas dessert idea... From my favourite recipe website Taste.com.au
Christmas cheesecake
Ingredients (serves 8)
200g packet digestive biscuits
85g unsalted butter, melted
500g cream cheese
100ml Dairy Farmers Thickened Cream
3 eggs
200g caster sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste*
300g Dairy Farmers Sour Cream
150g Dairy Farmers Traditional Natural Yogurt
300g frozen cranberries
2 tbs port
1 tsp arrowroot
8 small rosemary sprigs dusted with icing sugar, to garnish
Method
Preheat oven to 180°C.
Process biscuits to fine crumbs in a food processor. Add butter and whiz to combine. Press evenly into the base of a 20cm springform
cake pan and chill while you make the filling.
Place cheese, thickened cream, eggs, 100g caster sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla bean paste in the (cleaned) food processor, and process
until smooth. Spread filling over biscuit base.
Bake for 30 minutes or until filling has set. Remove cake from oven and set aside to cool for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, combine sour cream, yoghurt, another 50g caster sugar and remaining vanilla paste. Spread over cake, then return to oven
for a further 10 minutes. Set aside to cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Place remaining 50g sugar, cranberries and port in a saucepan over low heat. Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Remove lid and
stir.Continue to cook until the cranberries give off their juice. Stir arrowroot into a dash of the juice, then add to pan with berry
mixture and continue to cook until the mixture thickens. Remove from the heat and cool.
To serve, top cake with cranberry sauce and garnish with the dusted rosemary sprigs.

A Valentines day my husband will never forget

Valentines day - Let the romance begin

Each year we take turns at giving each other the best valentines day and try to out do the years before. Well I decided to knock the socks of my husband and made up 100 reasons why I absolutely love & adore him. I cut out 100 red love hearts & wrote each reason on them. I had to get up real early sneek outside & transform the backyard into a love fest.
I got 100 plastic forks sat each love heart on them and pronged them into the ground all over the backyard.
When my amazing hubby woke up in the morning I said "suprise baby look out the window".
When he did he was blowin away..... he coudln't believe his eyes.
He was amazed i'd come up with 100 reasons!. Of course it gave him a major ego boost for a very long time.
Then I treated him to rocky road pancakes i made!, They were to die for.
We went on to have the most wonderful day full of treats, fun times & a romantic 3 course dinner at our favourite indian restaurant.
